Agile Project Management in the Age of AI

Course Curriculum

  1. 1

    Ceremonies Under Change

AI is reshaping standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives - not by replacing them, but by shifting what humans do during them. This module covers where automation is already showing up and what it changes about each ceremony.

  2. 2

    Roles and Skills

Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Engineering Managers aren't disappearing, but their day-to-day work is. This module covers how each role is evolving and the new skills - AI literacy, data-informed facilitation, ethical judgment - that come with it.

  3. 3

    Estimation and Forecasting

Story points and planning poker meet Monte Carlo simulations and confidence intervals. This module covers how AI changes the inputs to estimation, what probabilistic forecasting actually offers over deterministic commitments, and what AI still can't fix.

  4. 4

    Risks and Open Problems

Over-automation, surveillance, accountability dilution, skill atrophy, and bias amplification are real failure modes, not hypotheticals. This module covers what goes wrong when teams adopt AI tools without thinking through the tradeoffs.

  5. 5

    Adoption in Practice

A phased path for teams starting now - audit before automating, add signal instead of surveillance, integrate into decision flows, then establish governance - plus a decision framework for deciding which ceremonies are worth augmenting first.
